Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of events do you play?
We provide live music for many different types of events – weddings, corporate events, dinner parties, housewarmings, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners, brunches, holiday parties, house concerts, fundraising events, and more!

How do we choose the music?
We will start by providing you with a list of our repertoire and are happy to make a playlist recommendation based on your preferred genres. We also offer complementary consultations to help you with choosing music or answer any questions.

We would like to have some music that is not listed on your repertoire list, can you still play it?
Yes, requests are welcome! We will review your request to make sure it will work for strings instrumentation. An additional fee would apply to cover the cost of purchasing or arranging the music. We love to learn new music!

How many songs do you play during a wedding ceremony?
We usually play 4–5 pieces of music during the ceremony, though it may vary based on couples’ requests. A typical order of music is as follows:
Seating of Mothers/Grandparents/Family – 1 song
Bridal Party (Officiant, Groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids, flower girl, ring bearer) – 1 song
Bride -1 song
Special Ceremony Music (ex: candle lighting, reflection, musical interlude, congregational hymn, etc.)
Recessional/Postlude – 1 song

Do you play any music before or after the wedding ceremony?
We play 20–30 minutes of Prelude music as guests arrive and a Postlude piece as guests exit. You may choose specific songs or a general genre of music for us to play. In addition to ceremony music, we also offer cocktail hour and dinner music packages.

Do you play for outdoor events?
Yes, we play outdoors. Please keep in mind that our instruments our sensitive and need shelter from direct sunlight, water, and extreme temperatures.

We would like for one of our guests to sing/play for the wedding ceremony, can you accompany the musician?
Yes, we would be happy to accompany a guest musician. We require a rehearsal with the guest musician. We can do this on the day of the ceremony, prior to the Prelude. Please note that there is an extra fee for the rehearsal to compensate musicians for the extra time.
Do you travel for out of town events?
Yes, we travel. We do charge a travel fee to compensate musicians for travel time and costs.

Are the instruments amplified?
Guitarists and keyboard musicians are amplified. Stringed instruments project well outdoors or indoors, and amplification is not usually necessary. However, for large events, amplification can offer an additional boost to the sound to ensure all of your guests can enjoy the music. We offer an instrumental amplification for an additional fee.

Do the musicians attend the wedding rehearsal?
Musicians do not usually attend the rehearsal. We will have all details set prior to the wedding day for the musicians. We have years of experience in performing for weddings and will arrive early to set up and communicate with the officiant and wedding planner to go over cues or any other relevant day of details. If you would like musicians at a rehearsal, please note that a booking fee would apply.
